The response has been good and there are only 8 spots remaining for Climbing Instructor Training which will be held at Camp Bob Hardin and Crowder's Mountain on 10/17 through 10/19.
This course will certify you in both Climb on Safely and as a BSA Climbing Instructor allowing you to run a climbing event for your unit.
Participants will receive the 2008 printing of Topping Out (BSAs guide to climbing and rapelling) as well as a climbing instructor t-shirt.
If you sign up or if you ask me to I will send you an e-mail with a detailed account of the goals, what to expect and what to bring for the course.
Since the Sept 15th deadline has passed I have now opened this up to other councils in the area but would still like to see more leaders from Palmetto Council getting involved.
Just let me know if you wish to attend.
