Skyuka Lodge 270
Order of the Arrow
Skyuka Lodge #270 is the Order of the Arrow lodge serving the Arrowmen of the Palmetto Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Since 1944 scouts from the six counties that make up the Palmetto Council have gathered together at the Palmetto Council Camps and in other places in cheerful service to others. The Lodge’s totem is a double headed thunderbird.
The Lodge meets five times a year at Camp Bob Hardin for fellowships. During fellowships, the brothers of Skyuka Lodge provide cheerful service to our camp. The Lodge is a youth lead organization; under the leadership of the Lodge Chief. Skyuka Lodge is a member of Southern Region Section Five.
Each year, the eleven lodges of SR-5 gather for a conclave fellowship known as the Dixie Fellowship. At the Dixie Fellowship, lodges compete in administrative, quest events, ceremonies, and dance competitions. Over the past few years, Skyuka has been well represented at the Dixie. The Lodge won the Spirit Award in 2011 & 2012 and won the Quest for the Golden Arrow in 2010 & 2013. The Lodge has been a National Honor Lodge every year since 2007.
