Council Facilities

Located in the scenic Glendale community of Spartanburg County, next to Lawson’s Fork Creek, GOLS provides a wide array of outdoor activities. Enjoy our climbing wall, explore the waters with kayaks and canoes, traverse community trails, and embark on mountain biking adventures. GOLS is open to Scouting Units and community groups who would like to take part in the activities the facility offers to the area.

New in 2024, our equipped STEM lab allows youth of all ages to explore the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Let our Program Director assist in planning your next adventure at GOLS or in the surrounding area, as the canoes, kayaks, and bikes can be transported.

The property also features the Clarke family residence and is bordered on the north side by the picturesque Thickety Creek. While there are no restroom facilities on site, we can arrange for Portalets and handwashing stations for your Unit’s convenience. Additionally, the property includes a pole barn equipped with electricity, perfect for meals, meetings, and other activities.
