ACADEMIC SUMMER EXPERIENCE for rising 7th-12th Grade Students
New Programs, New Opportunities
For over 35 years, Clemson University has offered an academic summer experience for gifted middle and high school students. In addition to challenging courses, we provide opportunities for fun, friendship and a true Clemson experience. This year’s program has even more to offer with new classes for all students.
A balanced schedule of educational, recreational and cultural activities will help broaden your academic skills and develop your creative abilities. You will engage in exciting classes taught by Clemson faculty and staff during the day and, in the evening, have the chance to go swimming or bowling, participate in a campus scavenger hunt, play a rousing game of ultimate or capture the flag, and visit special university facilities such as Fike Recreation Center, Bowman Field, the Student Union, Death Valley, and many more!
The Summer Scholars experience will give you a taste of life as a Clemson student. You will live in a semiprivate room, located in one of the on campus residence halls, and eat in a university dining hall. Qualified counselors will supervise dormitory life and all other activities. Access to complete area medical facilities, including the university health center will be available to you.
Middle and high school students will enjoy this one-week introduction to college subjects while being immersed in the culture of Clemson University. If you have attended this program in the past, you will see that we are offering some new and exciting courses this year! We encourage you to view the 2015 CU Summer Scholars’ program schedule.
