**the course will start Saturday morning at 8:00 AM. Participants are welcome to camp Friday night at GOLS**
DETAILS: Participants are immersed in the Patrol Method in this hands-on training session. The goal of this course is to provide a working model of the boy-led troop learning many of the basic Scouting skills needed to attain the rank of First Class Scout. Adult leaders will experience skills instruction via the EDGE method in the context of a weekend campout with the troop, all wrapped up in plenty of Scout Spirit! This course is required of all direct contact leaders registered in Boy Scout Troops and Varsity Scout Teams, in order to wear the Trained patch, and is prerequisite for Wood Badge.
The Palmetto Council has been selected by Trail's End to be one of the five host councils in the Southern Region for their Popcorn Seminars. We will be hosting the seminar on Monday, March 30, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church Family Life Center in Spartanburg, SC from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm .

Due to the Council’s Fundraising dinner requiring full staff participation, the Palmetto Council Service Center will be closed March, 26th. The Scout Shop will maintain normal hours

Where: Buford Street United Methodist Church, 120 East Buford Street, Gaffney, SC 29340.
Who should attend: adults who are, or plan to be Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters; or Cub Scout/Webelos leaders who will cross over to a Scout troop in the next 12 months. Troop committee chairs are also invited to attend in order to better support their troop. This course is also prerequisite for Wood Badge and will not be offered again prior to 2014 Wood Badge.
Participants will need to bring a bag lunch as there will be no time to go off-site for lunch. Water/soft drinks will be provided.
